Lucciola NYC Brings Its Hospitality to Casa Ferrari
Chef Michele Casadei Massari, Wine Director Alberto Ghezzi and their Team at Pebble Beach 2026
Every August, the Monterey Peninsula in California hosts the Car Week, drawing more than 100,000 visitors annually. Only selected VIP guests can visit Casa Ferrari, located on the First Fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links, and enjoy the close view of remarkable Ferrari creations at the Concours d'Elegance.
The kitchen behind that hospitality belonged to Chef Michele Casadei Massari and the Lucciola NYC team.
Four days and one dedicated team serving from breakfast through the last after-dinner glass. Roughly 100 guests on Thursday, at a private dinner reserved for the innermost Casa Ferrari circle. Between 1,000 and 1,200 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
To put that in perspective: Lucciola's own dining room on Amsterdam Avenue seats eighteen. What Chef Michele and Wine Director Alberto Ghezzi built at Pebble Beach was, in effect, the Lucciola tasting philosophy translated into a hospitality operation: high-quality ingredients and partners (Giusti Balsamic Vinegar, Palazzo di Varignana EVOO, Bindi); attention to detail even in the most rushed hour of the event; and elevated taste in every plate, from Carbonara to Gnocchi with fresh-cut Truffles.
The on-site team comprised ten professionals: sous chefs, maîtres d', and a dedicated person exclusively for Ferrari's Executive guests, including Mr. Piero Ferrari himself.
The Garden Bottega
The centerpiece of the daytime program was something Chef Michele and the team built specifically for Casa Ferrari: the Garden Reception, a live cooking installation set in the resort's garden.
Rather than the standard buffet, guests found a working Italian kitchen in the open air: pinsa romana topped, and baked to order; paninis; and eggplant parmigiana straight from the oven. Alongside the cooking, three products added some twists: Palazzo di Varignana extra virgin olive oil, Parmigiano Reggiano chunks, and a guided Acetaia Giusti balsamic tasting.
The guests and Ferrari Luce
Beyond the Ferrari executives, the guest list included most of the collector world. Among them, Oscar-winning actor, producer and director Michael B. Jordan, who received a dedicated lunch imagined by Chef Michele, and later assisted to the most interesting live auction ever: the Ferrari Luce was sold for 40 million dollars, that will be used to realize one of the last Enzo Ferrari’s dreams, create a cultural and educational public hub in Maranello, in memory of Alfredo Ferrari.
